PSNI Warns of Kitchen Scam

Police are advising residents to beware of a FREE Kitchen Scam currently doing the rounds in Northern Ireland.

A young female with an English accent approx. mid 20’s, who has been accompanied by a male, approx. mid 50’s, smartly dressed with grey beard and moustache, have recently called at homes claiming that the householder has won a free kitchen.  The assailants may also be driving a small grey four door car.

On gaining access, these persons then attempt to commit a burglary at the premises.

Homes of the elderly would appear to be particularly at risk from these fraudsters and Police are advising relatives, neighbours and carers of elderly residents to be vigilant.  If you, or someone you know of has been approached by persons answering the above description, please contact your local PSNI immediately.
