Ards Peninsula Community Group: R. Campbell reported that she had spoken to RCN’s Lisa Rea and put forward the names of N. Cornick, M. Brown & herself as GADCA representatives.  This will entitle those members to attend the next meeting of the group which is expected to be held sometime April 2007.  R. Campbell stated that this would be a good opportunity for GADCA to network with other groups and help to develop our own activities.

Wildfowler Planning Application: M. Brown reported that he had written to planning as requested.  No further information was available.

Presentation – Constable Cassels: Committee agreed that the presentation should be made at the conclusion of the April meeting.  It was also mentioned that this would be an excellent opportunity for committee members to meet the new community Police officer and that he, amongst other colleges and friends, should be invited to attend.   R. Campbell agreed to contact Constable Cassels & colleges but warned that this may be difficult to organise, stating that she was almost certain that he had holidays planned for April.   In the event of a positive outcome, it was agreed to arrange for a light supper to be served immediately after the presentation.

Pub Quiz: The Pub Quiz date was set for Friday 27th April @ 8.00 pm.  Venue -Wildfowler Inn - Function Room.  Ticket price was set at £2.50 per person.  Committee members were asked to provide a small item for the ballot.

Sewage Works Landscaping: Nothing to report.

Youth Report:  R. Campbell told committee that the organising for the fund raising event on behalf of Greyabbey primary school was well in hand.  Apart from this event there was very little to report at this time.

Other Business:

60s Disco: The popular 60s Disco night was discussed and it was agreed to organise this event for 1st June 2007.  Ticket price was set at £5.00 and would include a finger buffet.  Late arrivals (after food served) would be charged £3.00 admission.  N. Cornick agreed to organise D.J. for the event.

CPLC: R. Campbell reported that a number of GADCA members had attended the CPLC AGM and informed committee that K. Ritchie had joined that committee as a GADCA representative.  K. Ritchie informed committee that she would be attending an ASBO meeting in the near future and would report back to committee on the outcome of that meeting.

New Member: K. Ritchie proposed that Claire Kelly be co-opted onto committee.  She stated that Clair has been a regular visitor at  our meetings and would provide the younger members of our community with a voice on this committee.  Proposal was seconded by M. Brown.

    Monday 18th June 2007
